You as a Roblox Developer: Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm to tackle various game projects within the Roblox environment. Collaborate closely with Creative and Product teams to conceptualize, plan, and implement innovative game features. Take ownership of game features from conception to delivery, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Develop and maintain efficient, scalable code to power immersive Roblox experiences. Work alongside QA leads and product managers to thoroughly test and validate the reliability of game features. Collaborate with game and UX designers to prioritize efforts that maximize player value within resource constraints. Requirements: 3-5 years of hands-on experience with the Roblox platform, showcasing a deep understanding of its mechanics. 1-3 years of Lua programming experience on Roblox, demonstrating coding proficiency. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort in presenting ideas. Proficiency in tools like Roblox Studio, Rojo, and GitHub in a team setting, adhering to collaborative practices. Ability to implement a framework like ‘KNIT’ or similar framework. Adaptability to team dynamics and established protocols, fostering a cooperative work environment. Familiarity with technical concepts including Roblox API and Services, Object-Oriented Programming, and more. Nice to Have: Proficiency with community tools like Nevermore, Maids, Promises, and Signals to enhance development capabilities. Experience in UX design using Figma to improve player experience. Familiarity with advanced mathematical concepts for innovative gameplay design. Ability to provide tools for easier and streamlined development. Experience with avatar rigs, character controllers, and creating Roblox Studio plugins. Interest in web development and familiarity with front-end frameworks.
